Favourite Talk!

I am back in Austria! I am trying to adapt to the culture and the people here again, dreaming dreams, and looking for work that is going to help fulfill these dreams. I am looking for jobs that will give me something to do and some immediate money, and I am looking for employment of course in my field of expertise, in case my dream to go back and establish myself in America fails due to visa conditions. I currently live in and take care of my mom's appartment in Salzburg while she is gone to live with my grandmother in Germany who needs elderly care. The weirdest thing about being back is to see all my friends in church and other social environments with their kids. A lot happens in 10 years! It sometimes makes me feel very old, but then I try to remember that my life has not just passed by me either--just differently. I can still do many things they cannot anymore with families attached, and vice versa. We all have different roles. Although, I hope to get on with whatever it is Heavenly Father still needs me to do quickly so I can have a family of my own soon too.

I am posting this talk below on my memorable blog because it was of utter importance to me and touched my heart greatly. It was a talk given in last fall's General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. No matter what faith one has though, the good dreams people have transcend all cultural, religious, and other kinds of boundaries and somehow do find the universe listening and organizing accordingly to make what's possible happening. I was very touched also last week in a Catholic baptism of my great-nice, a baby born to my cousin and his wife in Switzerland, as they have struggled with the death of their first child and made this a very treasured and special event. What matters in the end--any kind of end--is that one has not given up dreaming good dreams, that one can say one has worked hard for them, and that one has not given up faith in whatever power one acknowledges in the universe to bring order, purpose, and peace to life.
